Does it really work offline?
Yes. AI models, document search and answer generation all run on your PC, and no external communication happens by default. There is no telemetry, usage statistics or crash reporting. Only the optional web search feature sends your question to an external search service (off by default).
Where are my internal documents stored?
Only on your PC. Documents, chat history and search data are never sent to external servers.
What file types can I register?
PDF, Word, Markdown and text files are supported. Drag & drop them to register — added files become searchable immediately.
How do I verify an answer?
Every answer shows its source (document name and location), and clicking it opens the exact passage in the original document. When the knowledge base has no relevant content, ShineosQA answers "no matching entry" instead of guessing.
Do I need a GPU or a powerful PC?
No — it runs on CPU only. A standard office PC with 8GB of RAM is sufficient (16GB+ recommended for the 30B quality model).
